The stone of the Ghost
At the beginning of time, when the stones in Jälmån were still soft, "ghosts" came across climbers over the river.
He put his foot on a rock so that there was a footprint in the stone. His walk then went up for the lords to the forest. Hereafter, this stretch is called Gaståsa Lier. To see the stone today, Jälmån must be almost dry. You do not know exactly where the stone is, but it is between the Stock and the Spiksmedjan.
Backstugan Gaståsen, inhabited until 1876, is located close to the west side of Stocken (at the height). Backstugan was a rotary school (part of the parish) during the 1890s. The man built fire wall is still to obviously there today!
