Gölingstorp - Market place dating back to the 1860s along Jälmåleden
The first so-called "free market" where cattle and all kinds of goods were sold was held in 1862.
Gölingstorp was at this time the given central center in the village.
The cattle trade lasted less than 80 years. On two occasions, the market has been required for all these years. One time because of foot-and-mouth disease, the other was too much snow.
The current market bargains are probably from the 1860s and are protected by the cultural heritage (k-labeled) by the National Heritage Board. Every spring and autumn thousands of people come here to shop and meet old acquaintances.
