Nittorp Church - Built in 1847 (opened on 15 September 1850) along the Jälmåleden
In 1836, discussions began to repair the old church or build a new one. After more than ten years of planning, work could be started seriously in 1847. In order for the cost to be as low as possible, much of the furniture and fixtures were moved from the old church at Stommen. The lamb with the victory taban, brass chandelier and church bell now has room in the new church. Also some building materials came from there.
The first organ had six ballots and was opened in 1862.
In 1875, Ljungström painted the altar plan "Christ on the Mount of Exploration".
The bell tower hangs two bells. The oldest, which is from Nittorp's medieval church, was cast in 1523 by the so-called The nineteen master and has an embedded St. Olov brand. The younger clock was donated to the church in 1884 by a private individual.
The stone wall around the cemetery was built in 1861. In this there is a so-called Self-playing staircase (those who took their life themselves in this way). This staircase is located on the south side of the wall.
